1/144 Gundam Avalanche Exia'

Just completed this model kit without panel lining and it looks cool. Fuh!

Erwan's 1/144 HG Gundam Unicorn Mode

At first after completion, the gundam looks whitish pale with not even any other color on the whole kit itself (besides the weapons).

After 2 hours of panel lining, the results are good and now his model kit looks a bit of texture and depth.

While waiting for the markers to arrive, I decided to collect all model kits related with Gundam Exia and piloted by Set. You can see the list I've made under the Exia page.

Right now in the midst of building up a HG 1/144 Gundam Avalanche Exia' model. Once done, my next project would be a red model kit...shh.

The model kit box is unopened and just waiting for the markers to arrive before launch..I mean project initiation...lol

Librarian Works

If you remembered from my last post, I mentioned about Erwan's Gundam Astray Green Frame. The day he bought this gundam I was with him.

At that time my crave for another gundam model kit was 'high' and decided to purchase another Master Grade model kit.

So I presented some options to Erwan on whether to purchase this or that at the store. He somehow showed me two model kits under the Librarian Works and advice me to buy both of them.

Reason being the kits color scheme different from the ones I have and total price of both items altogether is somewhat similar with one 1/100 MK Gundam Unicorn kit.

At the end I ate his bait.. err I mean.. took his advice.

Both scaled at 1/100, non-grade and the kits are Gundam Astray Mirage Frame (front) and Regen Duel Gundam (back).

1/100 MG Strike Noir Gundam

Today Erwan completed his first MG gundam model kit and he is proud of it. It's colour scheme totally different from his current gundam collections.

He realizes that the time spent to complete a MG model kit takes much longer than a HG or non-grade.

The only thing that surprises us is that a use of screws are required. This is quite new to us as screws to gundam model kits only applies to Perfect Grades. Maybe there is something else we don't know in this gundam model kit world.

At the end, Erwan's gundam looks cool and kudos for a good job.

Sigh...when will our gundam markers will arrive from Japan...:(

1/100 MG Gundam Unicorn

With the old gundam model kits and latest entry grades gundam that I have, I decided to try a new type of model kit. And MG Gundam Unicorn was my choice.

Totally a different scale from the previous gundam in my possession plus it is a Master Grade. So began my journey of exploring a Master Grade gundam model kit.

Time spent on it was quite longer than I expected...fuh!

-All ready except for the head-

Without any markers or touch-up tools, the gundam looks quite nice in unicorn mode being all white.

Then came the destroyer mode and oh man, is was darn though...for me of course.

It is still not complete yet and therefore waiting for the right tools for completion.

Entry Grades

My second set of gundams that I bought two weeks ago which revived an old flame in becoming a Gunpla model kit builder.

These model kits will be my training ground on doing panel lining, coloring and finishes.

Markers, Markers, Where Are Thou Markers

Besides myself, my colleague Erwan is also starting his own gunpla model kit collection and here is his Gundam Astray Green Frame.

This gundam is one of his set of gundams that he owns which I will publish here soon.

Ah yes, about the markers.

Both of us have search gundam markers through shopping malls, malaysia online shops, available hobby shops and etc. None of these shops sells these markers and we start to get tired of searching them. At the end, decided to buy from Hobbylink and now waiting for our package to arrive.

You may wonder why markers and not spray paint and such. Well myself and Erwan are beginners, so let's act like one.And besides, we have lots of gundam that needs panel lining and finishes.

LOL, we bought all those gunpla before we got the markers. Oh well...

Back to Basics

The first six Gunpla model kit that I bought in 2008 are now dusty and some even with loose joints.

Once I have the markers and tools, is panel lining and repair time for me.
